  • 1926 — While working on a self-loading pistol design for FN in Liege, John Moses Browning dies of a heart attack while in the office of his son Val.
  • 2008 — The first shots are fired in the attacks on Mumbai, India. Indian gun control laws had made it easy for the Pakistan-based terrorists to kill 164 and injure more than 300 legally disarmed victims - while police hid from the attackers.
