In the days leading up to the US Supreme Court's historic [[Heller decision]], [[gun grabbers]] everywhere hooted all their favorite [[prophecies of doom]], including the ever-popular "[[fender bender shootout]]s" prognostication, into every microphone and TV camera they could find.  Yes indeed, if the Supreme Court got rid of DC's [[Firearms Control Regulations Act of 1975|big, shiny gun ban]], there would be blood in the streets.
