  • 1995 — The Canadian House of Commons passed Bill C-68, the Firearms Act, which demanded the licensing of all Canadian gun owners and the registration of all firearms in the hands of Canadians.
  • 1999 — 57 year old John Paul Bardoscia, of St. Catharines, Ontario, was arrested and charged with unsafe storage of the firearms after exiting his home and leaving a firearm unattended on his coffee table ... while his house was on fire.
