A Romanian soldier stands guard on the flight line as medical supplies from the U.S. Army Medical Materiel Center in Pirmasens, West Germany, are unloaded from a 37th Tactical Airlift Squadron C-130 Hercules aircraft at the Bucharest airport. Provided by the 7th Medical Command, the supplies are part of a relief effort for citizens of the revolt-torn country. The soldier is armed with an AKM assault rifle.
